Aerodynamic technology enablers developed at the Aero-Physics Laboratory for high-speed and low speed applications will be presented and discussed in the context of potential multi-disciplinary opportunities.
七、主讲人简介
Professor Kostas Kontis (FAIAA, FRAeS, FIMechE, CEng) is a world-leading authority in aerodynamics, wind-tunnel testing, flow control, and diagnostics. He has published more than 300 articles including 130 in journals, 7 book chapters, and 3 books. Since 2001, the external funding (~£13.5M, approx. 75% of grants as PI) includes over 60 separate collaborative projects with industrial partners. The new methodologies developed are now being adopted by industry and universities based worldwide. He is the Mechan Chair of Engineering, Professor of Aerospace Engineering, the Head of the Autonomous Systems & Connectivity Division, the Director of the Aero-Physics Laboratory (APL) and Dean for Global Engagement (East Asia & China) at the University of Glasgow. He has supervised 25 Visiting Fellows, 49 PhD students (36 completed, 13 current), 18 postdoctoral researchers (17 completed, 1 current); now pursuing careers in academia and/or industry. He has given numerous invited presentations and keynote lectures worldwide. He is contributing to the European (EASN Board of Directors: Vice-Chairman, ACARE WG3: Member), UK (ADS-Scotland Council Member).
