The School of Information and Communication Engineering successfully organized the Academic Integrity & Excellence: Award Ceremony and Research Sharing Session on May 8, 2026.

    The event aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of academic integrity, research ethics, and responsible academic practice. The SICE coordinator, Ms Lu reminded everyone about academic integrity & examination rules: staying below "the red line".

    It also provided students with valuable insights into research development through a sharing session by an outstanding PhD candidate Gyarteng E S Addai, who published two Q1 journal papers within the past year. During the session, he shared his research experiences, publication journey, and practical advice for academic growth.

    The event also featured an alumni guest speaker, Chiagoziem Chima Ukwuoma, currently an Associate Professor at Chengdu University of Technology. His session, titled “Building Your Global Academic Network: Collaborations, Conferences, and Publications,” highlighted the importance of academic networking, research collaboration, conference participation, and effective publication strategies.

    At the end of the event, outstanding academic achievements were recognized through the annual scholarship awards and excellence performance awards ceremony. The awards served as an appreciation of students’ hard work, continuous efforts in pursuing academic excellence, and active contributions in various activities throughout the year.

    Associate Professor Ukwuoma was also honored with a mentorship award in recognition of his guidance and contribution to the development of international students. His continuous support and dedication have played an important role in inspiring students to grow academically, professionally, and personally.

    The event concluded with a group photo, marking a memorable and meaningful gathering that encouraged students to uphold academic integrity, pursue academic excellence, and actively develop their research capabilities.
