I. Title: Recent Advances in AI Large Models: Current Applications and Future Directions
II. Presenter: Prof. LIU Shuaicheng,University of Electronic Science and Technology of China
III. Time: 10:20-12:00, Thursday, April 7, 2026
IV. Location: Room 108, Block C, Research Building, Qingshuihe Campus
V. Overview:
The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) has been profoundly shaped by the emergence of large-scale models. This talk explores the cutting-edge developments in AI large models, with a focus on four key areas: (1) Large Language Models (LLMs), which have redefined human-machine interaction through unprecedented reasoning and generative capabilities; (2) AI-Generated Content (AIGC), enabling high-quality text, image, video, and multimodal synthesis; (3) AI Agents, autonomous systems that leverage planning, tool-use, and real-time decision-making for complex tasks; and (4) Embodied AI, bridging digital intelligence with physical environments through robotics and interactive learning. We will examine real-world applications, ongoing challenges, and future directions. Through this talk, we will explore a roadmap to grasp how next-generation AI systems could reshape our world.
