六、内容简介
Lasers have played a pivotal role in modern technologies since its invention in 1960s owing to theirstrong light-matter interactionsandlaser output characteristics. Recent advances in microscale lasers have further integrated lasers with biological systems.Such tiny lasers could therefore be used to detect or monitor critical signals in living cells or human body with distinctive sensitivity and intensity. This talk will cover thehistory ofmicroscaleoptofluidiclasers and focus on the recent development of microlasers in human-inspired technology to tackle healthcare problems. In specific, we will showcase various generations of laser emitting sensors for multiscale sensing and imaging, disease screening, information technology, data security, cell sorting, pharmaceutical industry, as well as flexible laser biochips for health monitoring. Finally, discussion and outlook will be made on the strategies to pioneer novel on-chip laser devices for future medical diagnosis and bio-intelligent technology.
