五、内容简介:

Structured multi-view imaging is a three-dimensional (3D) perception technology. Compared to unstructured multi-view imaging, it features simpler viewpoint arrangement and faster, more convenient sampling processes. Additionally, it requires less data-driven learning methods. This makes it a promising and novel technology for current clinical orthopedic disease examinations, enabling high-precision, radiation-free 3D perception of the human back. This talk primarily focuses on one major area of structured multi-viewpoint imaging: light field imaging. It will cover related research and recent work from the Digital Health Lab on the intelligent, integrated diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases. Specifically, the presentation will discuss the technical principles of light field imaging, its application development, and its potential in the field of orthopedic diseases. Furthermore, it will include recent research and advancements in the integrated smart diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic conditions. Finally, the talk will also share insights on the application process and important considerations for applying to the University of Hong Kong, along with an overview of the development of the Digital Health Lab.

Dr.Nan Mengreceived a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. Following his PhD, he joined HKU's Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology as a Postdoctoral Researcher and was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2023. His primary research areas include light field imaging, medical image analysis, digital health, and smart healthcare. He has contributed to the development of the "All-in-One Orthopaedic Online Analysis System" (mskalign alignpro) and a radiation-free spine health examination device (mskalign wukong). Dr. Meng has led three research projects and co-led two others, supported by both the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research has been published in top-tier computer science conferences and journals (including IEEE T-PAMI, IEEE TIP, IEEE TCSVT, AAAI) as well as in prestigious medical journals such asThe LancetandJAMAsub-journals (eClinicalMedicineandJAMA Network Open).
