六、内容简介：
Optical fiber biosensors have been extensively investigated due to their bio-compatibility, small size, high measurement resolution, high stability, ability to operate remotely and in harsh conditions, and immunity to electromagnetic interference. I will present my recent work that utilised an optical fibre configuration to achieve All-Optical Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR). Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) plays an important role in modern science. It has a broad range of applications, not only in basic research but also in areas such as medical diagnostics, forensics, and agriculture. In this work, I demonstrated an all-fiber, all-optical qPCR system with ultra-fast temperature response, real-time temperature feedback, nanoliter scale reaction volume, high sensitivity, portability, and the potential to operate in a label-free configuration.
七、主讲人简介：
Dr Xuegang Li was born in Hebei, China, in December 1991. He received his B. A. and PhD degree in the College of Information Science and Engineering from the Northeastern University, China, in 2014 and 2019. In 2017 and 2018 he studied as a visiting student at the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing, Adelaide, Australia, on projects investigating optical fibers biosensing. His research interests are photonic crystal fiber sensors, optical modal interference sensors, in-fiber interferometer and its sensing applications. He has authored and co-authored more than twenty scientific papers. In 2019, he received funding from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Since March 2019 he is with Northeastern University as a Lecturer.
