The team has been engaged in research on optical fiber communication theory and technology for many years, focusing primarily on the fields of advanced optical devices and optical switching, high-speed optical transmission and optical access, secure optical communication, and aeronautic optoelectronics technology. The team has trained over 200 master's and doctoral students in the “Information and Communication Engineering" and "Electronic Information" disciplines, as well as several domestic and international postdoctoral researchers. This research team holds significant influence both nationally and internationally, maintaining strong cooperation and exchange relationships with foreign academic institutions such as Bangor University (UK), NICT (Japan), the University of Rochester (USA), and UC Davis (USA).
