I. Institute Overview

UESTC Yangtze Delta Research Institute (Quzhou) is located in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province, a city renowned for its historical and cultural significance and renowned as the "Southeastern Quarters, Holy Land of Confucius in the South". It is a new research and educational institution jointly established by UESTC and Quzhou City, with legal person status. The institute is dedicated to aligning innovative resources from universities with regional industrial resources. Through high-level scientific research, innovative talent cultivation, and technology transfer, it aims to provide technological talent and innovation support for the construction of a national digital economy hub in Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta, servicing areas for industrial transformation and upgrading, as well as innovative development.

The research institute was established in April 2020 and has experienced rapid development since then. Currently, it has more than 20 senior faculty members with advanced professional and technical positions, including 3 national-level talents and over 10 teachers with senior professional titles. A Zhejiang provincial postdoctoral workstation has been approved, accommodating 10 postdoctoral researchers. There are also over 50 doctoral and master's students. The annual research funding for the institute is nearly 20 million yuan, and collaborations have been established with entities such as China Information Communication Technologies Group Corporation and the Shanghai G60 Encryption Industry Base.

With strong support from the city of Quzhou, the institute occupies an area of nearly 500 acres, including various projects like the Research Institute Science and Innovation Building, Talent Apartments, affiliated primary and secondary schools, kindergarten, and the Yangtze River Delta Alumni Headquarters Building. These projects are under construction and are expected to be delivered for use in 2021, providing a solid foundation for the institute's development.

II. Recruitment Positions: Full-Time Researchers

(I) Basic Requirements for Recruitment:

1. Adherence to the constitution and laws of the People's Republic of China, with good ideological and political qualities, and possessing good conduct and professional ethics.

2. Generally, a Ph.D. degree is required, with outstanding academic achievements and good potential for academic development. Outstanding master's degree holders with exceptional research or engineering application abilities may be considered. There are no degree restrictions for those with advanced titles. 2021 graduates should obtain their degree by July 2021.

3. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in research institutions, universities, or well-known enterprises, strong research capabilities, and significant experience in major research projects.

4. Have the research capabilities, teamwork skills, and coordination abilities required for the position.

(II) Disciplinary Fields: Information and Communication Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, etc.

1. Outstanding Ph.D. candidates are eligible for a housing subsidy of 1.2 million RMB and a settlement allowance of 400,000 RMB.

Explanation:

1. Resume Submission and Document Submission

2. Contract Signing

Individuals without objections in the public notice will, according to the arrangements of the research institute, proceed with the entry procedures. Candidates must complete the entry within one month of receiving the entry notice, and failure to do so will result in the loss of employment eligibility. Graduates of the class of 2021 must complete entry procedures within one month of obtaining their graduation and degree certificates, and failure to do so will result in the loss of employment eligibility.

III. Recruitment Positions: Post Doctors

(I) Basic Entry Conditions and Requirements

1. Ph.D. degree holder with outstanding academic performance and good health.

2. Generally under 35 years old, with certain flexibility for outstanding candidates or special needs.

3. Strong research capabilities and good teamwork spirit.

4. In principle, the cooperating supervisor should be a Ph.D. supervisor dispatched by UESTC to the institute.

5. Postdoctoral researchers are required to sign work agreements with both USTC and the institute and conduct full-time research in Quzhou for at least two years.

(II) Salary and Benefits during the Stay:

Postdoctoral researchers are entitled to the following generous benefits:

1. Achievement Awards: Eligible for corresponding rewards as per the research achievement award policy of the institute.

Development Opportunities: Outstanding postdoctoral researchers upon completion of their term can be appointed as faculty at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China or given priority to remain at the institute. The institute can provide positions under the institutional staffing plan. V. Development Support

(I) Platform Advantages

UESTC is one of the first to be built as a "World-Class University" (Class A), a key university under the National 985 Project and 211 Project directly administered by the Ministry of Education. It has become a comprehensive research university covering the entire field of electronic information disciplines. With electronic information science and technology as its core, the university emphasizes engineering while integrating science, engineering, management, liberal arts, and medicine in a coordinated development. It has 2 national first-level key disciplines (including 6 second-level disciplines, all of which are national key disciplines) and 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines. The university has 16 doctoral degree authorization points for first-level disciplines, 28 master's degree authorization points for first-level disciplines, 1 master's degree authorization point for second-level disciplines, 4 professional doctoral degree authorization points, and 12 professional master's degree authorization points. In the fourth round of the national first-level discipline evaluation, four disciplines of the university were rated as Class A, with "Computer Science and Technology" ranked 26th globally in the 2020 U.S. News ranking and 28th in the January 2021 ESI ranking, placing it in the top 0.514‰ globally (ranking in the top one-thousandth globally). Electronic Science and Technology and Information and Communication Engineering are both rated as A+. The number of A+ disciplines ties for first place among western universities.

VI. About Quzhou

Quzhou City is located in the western part of Zhejiang Province, the source of Qiantang River, adjacent to Hangzhou, and is one of the important cities in the Yangtze River Delta. Quzhou is a national historical and cultural city, the ancestral home and second hometown of Confucius' descendants, with the reputation of “Southeastern Gateway, Southern Confucius Holy Land". Quzhou is accelerating the construction of a "vibrant new Quzhou, beautiful large garden," striving to create the city with the best business environment in China, the city with the best grassroots governance in China, and the most polite city. It vigorously develops the beautiful economy, happy industry, digital economy, and smart industry. Quzhou aims to become the "first city sub-center of national digital economy" and the "highland of digital economy development on the marginal edge of four provinces," with a strong industrial foundation in digital economy, integrated circuit new materials, electronic chemicals new materials, and new energy battery materials. In January 2020, UESTC signed an agreement with Quzhou City to jointly establish UESTC Yangtze River Delta Research Institute (Quzhou).
