The national first-level discipline of "Information and Communication Engineering" focuses on global technological frontiers, major national needs, and the main battlefield of the national economy. This discipline, bearing the tasks of talent cultivation and scientific research and being one of the first to be granted the authority to confer doctoral degrees and establish postdoctoral mobile stations in China, is also a key discipline supported by the "211 Project" and "985 Project" construction funds of the university. In 2007, it was recognized as a national key discipline, and in the results of the fourth round of national first-level discipline evaluation released by the Ministry of Education, the Information and Communication Engineering discipline was rated as A+.

1. Regular Postdoctoral Researchers
Basic Conditions:
- Adherence to the national constitution and laws, a passion for higher education, good moral character, and professional ethics.
- Doctoral degree, outstanding academic performance, and good health.
- Generally, under 35 years of age, with flexibility for exceptionally outstanding candidates or those with special job requirements.
- Strong research capabilities and good team collaboration spirit.
Support and Benefits:
Basic salary provided jointly by the university and the research team. The annual salary from the university is 90,000 to 150,000 yuan, with team support generally not less than 20%.
Postdoctoral researchers selected for various talent programs receive 180,000 to 400,000 yuan annually. Those selected for the national “Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program" and "Introduction Plan" receive no less than 400,000 yuan annually (before tax, excluding the unit's contribution to the combination of social insurance and housing provident fund).
Postdoctoral apartments provided by UESTC (rent-free);
Annual academic funding of 10,000 RMB provided by UESTC, selected postdoctoral researchers under the Innovation Talent Support Program receive research funding of 300,000 RMB and international exchange funding of 30,000 RMB, with additional support from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation at a rate of 20%. 2. Faculty Postdoctoral Researchers
Basic Requirements:
- Adherence to the national constitution and laws, a passion for higher education, and good moral character and professional ethics.
- Good health, with an age limit of up to 32 years.
- Excellent educational background, demonstrating good academic potential, and outstanding academic achievements in the field. Priority is given to those who have obtained a doctoral degree from well-known universities or research institutions at home and abroad.
- Have tentatively selected a cooperating supervisor. The cooperating supervisor should be a professor with doctoral supervision qualifications, rich experience in teaching and research, and the ability to provide sufficient supporting funding.
- Outstanding in-station postdoctoral researchers, recent doctoral graduates (who must have met the qualification for defending a doctoral thesis when applying), and those who have been selected for achievements such as the "Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program" and "Postdoctoral International Exchange Program (Introduction Project, Dispatch Project)" are given priority.
**Support and Benefits:
- Daily funding support provided jointly by the university and the government, generally not less than 300,000 yuan per year. For engineering postdoctoral researchers cooperating with supervisors, the funding should not be less than 40,000 yuan per year. The portion of social insurance contributions from the unit is covered by the university.
- Enjoy other relevant benefits such as the university faculty union welfare (including policies for faculty children's enrollment in kindergarten and school).
- Eligible for applying for corresponding professional and technical positions.
- Those who meet the criteria can apply for a teaching qualification certificate.
