Founded in January 2018, School of Information and Communication Engineering (SICE) combines the second-level discipline of communication and information system of the former School of Communication and Information Engineering and the second-level discipline of signal and information processing of the former School of Electrical Engineering. It comprises the Department of Communication Engineering, Department of Network Engineering, Department of Internet of Things Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering, and Department of Information Engineering. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation released by the Ministry of Education, the discipline of Information and Communication Engineering was rated as A+.

I. Top-notch Talent:
- Target Audience: International top experts in natural sciences or engineering and technology, such as Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal winners, academicians, those selected for innovative team projects, or other outstanding individuals at the same level.

II. Leading Talent:
- Target Audience: Experts and scholars holding positions equivalent to professors or associate professors at internationally renowned universities or research institutions.
- Relevant Treatment:
1.Starting annual salary of at least 900,000 RMB (with a dynamic growth mechanism) + high-level achievement rewards (uncapped) + settlement allowance of up to 3 million RMB (including national and local support, disbursed after full-time employment, can be used to purchase real estate around the university of over 200 square meters).
2.Research startup funds can be negotiated based on discipline and needs, generally not less than 5 million RMB, professorship (institutional staffing), eligibility for doctoral supervision (graduate quota support).
3.Priority support for applying for national, provincial, and ministerial-level projects, building academic teams according to needs, and providing experimental and office space.
4.Enjoy special support policies such as tax benefits, spouse placement, pension and healthcare, and school selection for children.
5. Provide expert-level medical examinations at top domestic hospitals and other relatedhigh-quality medical services.
III. Overseas Outstanding Young Talent
- Target Audience:
1.Comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China, with good scientific ethics, and consciously practice the spirit of new era scientists
2.Below 40 years old, holding a doctoral degree
3.Normally, they should have obtained formal teaching or research positions at overseas universities, research institutions, or enterprise R&D institutions for more than 36 consecutive months. For those who have obtained a doctoral degree overseas and have outstanding achievements, the work experience requirement may be appropriately relaxed
4.Recognized by peers for research or technical achievements, with the potential to become a leading figure or outstanding talent in the field
5.Applicants have not worked full-time in China (returned to China), or have been working in China for less than one year. After receiving the funding notice, they must resign from their overseas job or have no job overseas, work full-time in China for at least 3 years
- Relevant Treatment:
1.Research funding of 2-6 million RMB (including national support), direct appointment as a professor (institutional staffing), conferment of doctoral supervision qualifications, and priority guarantee of graduate quota support. Priority support for recruiting postdoctoral fellows; provision of office and laboratory space
2.Priority support for applying for various talent programs or projects at all levels. The highest funding for the "Chengdu Drifters’ Plan" can be up to 3 million RMB
3. Basic annual salary of 600,000 RMB + housing provident fund and social securityprovided by the university of about 100,000 RMB/year + high-level achievement rewards (uncapped)
4. Settlement allowance of 2.2 million RMB (including national and local support) + one year of free turnover apartment (move-in ready) + return travel subsidy

IV. UESTC “Hundred Talents Program" Young Project
- Target Audience:
- Hold a doctoral degree, show outstanding potential in research and academic fields, be an outstanding talent among peers, and generally be under 35 years old.
- Relevant Treatment:
1.Research funding of 500,000 to 1 million RMB according to discipline needs, special research fellow (senior title, institutional staffing), eligibility for doctoral supervision.
2.Basic annual salary of 420,000 RMB + the combination of social insurance and housing provident fund of about 100,000 RMB/year purchased by UESTC+ high-level achievement rewards (uncapped).
3.Settlement allowance of 600,000 RMB.
