On September 21, 2026, the School of Information and Communication Engineering (SICE) at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) hosted the "One Moon, One Team" -- Mid-Autumn Cultural Experience and Student Team Building event. The program introduced international students to Mid-Autumn Festival traditions, encouraged cross-cultural exchange, and strengthened connections among students.

The program opened with a presentation on the history and cultural significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Students learned about the festival's development, the legend of Chang'e and the Jade Rabbit, and related celebrations across Asia, including Vietnam's Mid-Autumn traditions and South Korea's Chuseok. The discussion highlighted shared themes of family, gratitude, and reunion.

In the "One Moon, Many Cultures" segment, students from Pakistan, Morocco, Nigeria, Ghana, Ukraine, and South Africa shared festivals, traditional foods, and family customs from their home countries. Their contributions gave the group an opportunity to compare traditions and recognize the common importance of community and connection.

Students then joined an interactive Kahoot quiz on Mid-Autumn traditions, Chinese culture, and student life at UESTC. The activity brought friendly competition to the session, and the highest-scoring participants received small prizes. Students also shared traditional mooncakes as part of the cultural experience.

Following the cultural activities, Ms. Lu explained the university's regulations regarding religious activities and answered students' questions. The briefing helped international students better understand relevant university policies and expectations.

The event concluded with a group photo. By learning about the Mid-Autumn Festival and exchanging stories from their own countries, participants gained a deeper appreciation of both Chinese culture and the international community at UESTC.
